The 17th edition of the Headies Awards, Nigeria’s biggest music awards, is set to take place in April 2025. The nominees were officially announced on Wednesday, featuring top Nigerian artists who have significantly impacted the music industry.
Nigerian artist Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodu Blvck, leads the list with five nominations. Oyinkansola Aderibigbe (Ayra Starr) and Crown Uzama (Shallipopi) follow closely with three nominations each. The late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, also received three nominations.
The 17th edition will honor achievements in music from 2024, while the 18th edition, scheduled for December, will celebrate music from 2024 and 2025.
