Nigerian streets have been thrown into darkness as the national grid welcomes a collapse on Saturday, January 11, 2025, marking the first time in the year.
According to data obtained from the Nigerian System Operator’s portal (niggrid.org), the collapse surfaced at 1:56 pm.
This incident follows a pattern of fluatuation, with the grid suffering about 12 consecutive collapses in 2024.
The cause of the latest failure is yet to be disclosed as of the time of filing this report.
